1. I managed to bypass the usual PMS "I hate you all, especially men" fits and have a moderate cleaning attack, committing a misdemeanor neatness in the kitchen.

No progress yet on the closet, which is to be expected.

2. I left a positive comment on a certain person's poetry, and I normally don't do that unless I actually *like* what the person has to say. (So if I've left you comments on yours, feel special.)

3. I haven't checked my email more than a couple times a day for some time now and I haven't really had time to do more than read LJ. Bleh, this life thing sucks.

4. The new system at work is, while not 100% up to speed, officially mostly under control now, and I've moved past the step of "knowing I'm going to learn it soon" to "fingers knowing what they're doing." I didn't think it would happen this fast.

5. I've been keeping my hair under a bandana, and I made up a neat trick. If you've ever used a bandana as a kerchief, by folding it into a big triangle and tying two corners behind your head, you know that it makes kind of "wings" where the top folds down over the back of your head. I made up a fix for that-- take both of the free corners, separate them, and tie them in a small square knot. This takes up most of the slack.

6. I am not sure whether I prefer "bandana" or "bandanna." This is fairly unprecedented.

Oh, I had my ultimate date with Army Boy over the weekend. Sadly, it was "ultimate" in both senses-- he's leaving state in the next week or so and I won't see him again. Le sigh. He sure was fun, though. I almost feel bad about not feeling bad, but I don't want to, so I won't.
