Hm. Interesting question.

"Why do or don't you consider yourself a feminist?"

I do. My answer:

If I lived in a household which was struggling to pay the rent and buy groceries, a household with two or three people in it, and one person chose not to do anything to contribute, I should be moderately annoyed.

If I lived in a country at war which was struggling to keep an army in the field, and food, weapons, and other supplies going to that army, and I knew a group of people was choosing not to contribute to that effort, I should be quite upset with them.

If I lived in a world which was struggling for survival against war, famine, disease, and natural disaster, and I knew that half the population was unable to fully contribute to the fight against these things because of a prevailing belief that they should not be educated and encouraged to do so, I should be quite angry.

I do live in such a world, I do stand against such a belief, and thus, I am a feminist.
