I made a promise.

"I will keep you and care for you all the days of your life, and do the best for you that I can, and love you; and when the time comes that there is nothing more that I can do, I will love you still."

I have kept my promise today. I have not failed.

This is not good.

Woke up after about 3 hours of sleep. Nose still stuffed up, probably because I can't stop crying.

Bed's full of cats, so if I can quit snotting up long enough I'll probably go back to sleep.

Sleep, that picks up stitches on the ravelled sleeve of care...

I got some sleeps. Not much, but it'll get me through the night.

Made it to work, with enormously swollen and bloodshot eyes. Didn't think anyone was going to comment until I got asked if I had been crying or, um, partaking of the herb.

I think it'll be okay. I'm through the first wave. I've been awake for two whole hours and only close to tears once. The boys are being particularly attentive so I think I'll make it okay from here.
