So, my mom actually does want a pair of mittens for Christmas.

Which I started last night.

For extra bonus insanity points:

a) We're celebrating on 12/22, WEDNESDAY.

b) I tried casting on in brown, then decided that didn't show off the cables, and tried casting on in white as well. Then I decided brown was prettier.

For possible saving throw:

c) I knit pretty fast. I currently have from the tip of the fingers to the bottom of the knuckles on the first mitten.

d) My mom's birthday is the next week, so if absolutely necessary I can wrap ONE mitten.

Still: ARGH!

I know we talked about this last night, but I'm glad you decided not to knit your mother white mittens. That just seems really impractical.
