Come on, autumn!
Aug. 25th, 2006 09:53 pmDriving by a bank at sundown on the way to work, the display read 101 degrees F (38C).
I am so ready for summer to be finished.
So, a little quick question-- what's your standard phrase for "a long time ago" or "not for a long time yet"?
House slang for "not in a long time" = "not since 2 June '73."
House for "not for a while yet" (as in, the answer to any "when are you going to..." question) = "three weeks from next Wednesday."
And, by the way, three weeks from next Wednesday exactly, I plan to be out of state.
