Having clean clothes makes me happy.
Doing massive amounts of laundry makes me unhappy.
Therefore, I need to pare down my wardrobe again.
I'm keeping the following:
11 pairs of underwear (I'd keep 2 weeks but I don't have that many I really want to keep; I obviously need to buy more soonish)
I had 12 bras but I've gone through a downsizing lately, so it's probably time to lay some of those off.
I'm keeping 5 plus a 6th that I can wear if I stitch it up to be an over-the-head bra, which is worth the experiment if it saves me $20 for a new bra.
15 pairs of socks, all in white or black.
Shirts:
Oh good heavens.
Full count:
Color | Sleeveless | With sleeves |
White or beige | 9 | 2 |
Gray | 1 | 5 |
Blue or green | 4 | 6 |
Black | 3 | 8 |
Pink | 1 | 0 |
Yeah, I'm a creature of habit. And damn, nearly 40 shirts? 40 counting the one I have on.
Cutting that down to 14 should be easy, right?
Right? :/
Edit:
Down to 16, and put the half dozen (no joke) striped spaghetti-strap tanks aside for the original purpose, wearing under sweaters so I don't flash my belly at people.
And down to:
4 skirts (green floral, multi floral, light green, and brown)
4 pair charcoal linen pants, identical
4 pair exercise pants, 2 full-length and 2 capri
3 pair jeans
And best of all? All this fits in two laundry baskets. DONE.
