Kitchen gnomes!

Well, I bought apples to make apple butter.

And then I discovered that my best crockpot was missing. (The second-best went to sannask.) So I bought another.

I got home to discover that my best apple peeler was also missing. (The second and third best are not sharp enough, so I pitched them.)

So, I'll be buying a new apple peeler-- the problem is that apple butter is an 8 hour process, so I'll have to make it over two days, making the applesauce tomorrow morning and then cooking it into apple butter on Sunday.

I don't know what else has run away from the kitchen, but I need to go through and inventory everything ELSE I need before I sit down tomorrow...
