whee, sorta.
Nov. 24th, 2006 05:44 amI'm nearing the end (90 minutes to go) of my shift today.
I'm working. On my day off. With cramps. (For those of you who wondered what the "one thing" was yesterday, there you have it, my uterus is wringing itself out so hard that not only could I use it to open rusty jars, I could use it on world leaders and force a peace treaty in the Middle East. Now if I could only figure out how to take the thing out where it could be of some use!)
On the bright side, I don't feel too miserable and when I don't, it's nice to come to work and get paid to feel miserable. Also, it's slow, so I'm getting paid to do nothing, which is a pretty good combo if you have to work on your day off. With cramps.
I have a new necklace that my mom gave me which is an amber pendant with a silver setting, on a chain long enough to just go over my head. This would be fine except that it puts the pendant either firmly upon the ski slopes or tumbling down into the irretrievable crevice (if you get my point here). I don't want to tarnish the silver and I especially don't want any MORE skin irritation there (let's just say that getting hot and sweaty makes me itch really bad) so I'll be looking for a shorter chain.
I have birthday monies and am considering a copy of _Knit Fix_. My grandmother requested a knitted purse for Christmas and I have finished the bottom and a decorative cording-like border and am starting the upper section. I'll finish it with two i-cord handles. Pics will be posted.
