I've figured out that what makes me the very very happiest to knit is when I'm doing two-color two-handed knitting patterns (with one strand of yarn in each hand) in stockinette.

I have some of the greenish acrylic fuzzy yarn that [livejournal.com profile] serenya_loreden sent me, two balls, and some rainbow-sherbety kind of bouclé yarn from the clearance rack at the yarn store, and I made a stripe of the sherbety-pastel stuff around this vest I'm making for the kiddo and now instead of just switching I'm making a two-color pattern of triangles that go down.

I only have 49 yards of the foofoo yarn, so there won't be a whole lot (and frankly I hope there's enough or I may have to rethink midway through the last few rows). Actually, I like that too-- figuring out what I can make with little bits of yarn.

I have 21 feet more or less remaining of the yarn (once around my thumb-pinky winding method is about 6") and am just now switching to the last pattern for the last few rows. Wonder if I'll make it?

(For the math-inclined: 120 stitches for each row. Each stitch = 1/2" and on the rows I'm working on, 1/5 of the stitches are in the foofoo yarn, plus the yarn that passes behind the 4 intervening stitches, about 1 inch, so...maybe I'll get 4 rows, maybe 5.)
