Going out today.

My mom and I are going out shopping today; she wants a new Christmas tree, so we'll be going to Hobby Lobby.

Right now I'm trying to decide whether I want to take the trash out or leap in the shower. Likely a little of both, but I'd best get a move on. I'll also need to pick up dinner stuff on the way home, as I'll be crawling immediately into bed so I can work tonight...

de-stuffing.

I find myself wanting to go through the house, throwing out stuff I don't use, won't fix, can't wear, and have no other reason for keeping.

My mom brought me a ring today-- it's my mom's engagement ring diamond, that she'd had set into a ring for my dad, but since he subsequently refused to wear it (he doesn't do jewelry), she had the band resized for me.
( what? you're only here for the shinies? Fine then! )

I made some interesting salad, with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and bamboo rice (which is green). And I can't sleep. Sigh!
