Day off.

So, after telling my co-worker that, with all due respect, I would rather spork my eye than work for him tonight, I came home to enjoy my day off.

My plans were to make a half-assed attempt at cleaning the desk, then eat breakfast and play some WoW.

Of course, my server (Icecrown) is down for maintenance. Thanks guys.

I should clean the kitchen, but I just can't be bothered. I'll do it later.

I feel organize-y.

I am now pondering totally rearranging the dining room.

It currently contains, going clockwise around the room:

--Microwave cart with microwave on top and baking supplies underneath
--Wire shelf cubes with various appliances
--Ottoman with cat dishes
--Bookcase with hanging baskets and sewing machines
--Desk, with computer and stacked yarn wire baskets
--Bookshelves, 2
(this is where the passageway is to the living room)
--trashcan and light switch, next to the kitchen proper

I am not posting pictures. Imagine a frightening amount of clutter. Now imagine a week of sick occupancy including Pop Tart wrappers and a few soda bottles and a chip bag.

Now imagine it about twice as bad. Yep, that's what it looks like.

Anyways, I am contemplating whether I can get a sort of shelf to go over the trashcan and hold things, and also whether rearranging the room will do me any good, and in the meantime I'm going to hook up my speakers if I can and then clean the holy crap out of this place.

Anyone have any luck with storing things over the trashcan, or is it really just a catastrophe waiting to happen?
