Seen on Ravelry and giggled at: "Yes, I planned to have a big family… so I could repopulate the earth with people with better manners than you."

Today (Wednesday):
Deal with 8 baskets of laundry.

So far, sorted as follows:
7 partial baskets of MY laundry and some towels
1 basket more or less of other folks' stuff
1 pile, about a foot tall, of things to be altered, modified, and whatnot
2 stuffed garbage bags of clothes that are unwearable, stained, torn, etc. ETA: which I have taken to the dumpster! Yay!

The next sort will pull out the towels, sheets, kitchen towels, and so on; those will be left for Raven to do. At the same time I'll probably pull out underwear and undershirts, things that can be washed cold/cold and left unfolded, and I'll probably pawn those off on Raven also.

That should leave, by my best guess, four loads of laundry that are mine and have to be done by me. I can do 2 today and 2 tomorrow and put it all away. (I've learned the hard way that no matter how many washers/dryers you have available, the only way to make progress on laundry is to never wash it faster than you can put it away.) ETA: Yes, I have 3 baskets sorted plus one of the stuff I've worn this week, plus one of underthings (no folding, so Raven can do it).

Church tonight is fellowship, which is the churchy term for "we're going to talk AND eat." I have to make my cookies in, um, two hours for that.

Tomorrow I'm having at least one and hopefully two friends over for dinner and more cookies. The rest of the day will be sleeping, picking up the house a bit, MAYBE sewing if I feel up to it, and cleaning off my desks. And the other two loads of laundry.

Next Tuesday I'm going to a lunch presentation by Stand in the Gap with a couple of other folks from the church, and taking COPIOUS notes, which I shall post here and there and everywhere.

Oh, also, I have Tuesday 2/17 off work, so I can go down and celebrate my grandmother's 90th birthday with her. Tomorrow or the next day I'll call the local greenhouse and pre-order a dozen roses for her (to make sure that they have some).

That's all I know for now. If y'all can think of anything else appropriate and neat for my grandmother, drop me a comment! She already has a custom-knitted hat and scarf, by the way.
