Friday report.
Apr. 30th, 2010 11:08 amMy usual Fridays go something like: do stuff, try to shut down for sleep at 2pm, fail miserably, go to work with no sleep since 5am and get REALLY stupid tired about 4am.
This morning I got smart and went to sleep at 5am and slept til 10am. We'll see how this goes.
Today's agenda, none of which is accomplished:
Get out of bed
Get dressed
Go to the store and pick up whatever I want for lunch this week (see below)
Make lunch
Do absolutely nothing else useful until work time, with the possible exception of going for a walk.
What I feel like eating will probably include:
some chicken (chicken breasts are $10 for enough to feed me for a week with half left over, so I'm going to use up the ones in the freezer)
probably some chickpeas, and I'm going to make some beans also I think
Some brown rice or maybe black rice (it's prettier!)
Mushrooms
Squash and carrots and broccoli
And Roma tomatoes!
If I can get a small loaf of pumpernickel on sale, I'll make some croutons and add some baby spinach for a pseudo-salad. (I hate salad. I add rice and chewy things until it's tolerably edible.)
And I need yogurt and maybe some granola bars.
And the budget for all this, since it's a week's lunches and I hope to get 6-7 meals out of it? $20 or less.
At some point I'm going to have to make a spreadsheet and compare the cost of food to the amount of nutrition it provides.
