The piranhas *did* revolt and hold someone hostage in the back room. Sadly, it was me.

Stuff broke at work. It was a bad Monday.

But the insurance guy came and looked at the roof. Two guys and actually also the one guy's dog (a little Schnauzer, very cute).

The cats were NOT IMPRESSED and had a bit of a fuss over THAT DOG being outside the window, but they're okay now.

Roof has holes. One is baseball-sized, but fortunately not where it's going to leak before we get it fixed. We're getting a new roof though, and new storm windows for two windows, and new shutters. Yay!

I'm gonna call my fave roofers in the morning. They did such a stunning job last time and left the yard cleaner than it was when they arrived. :D

Also, it is not-quite-mizzably hot, and I am actually sorta comfy in my broad brimmed hat and my cotton long-sleeved hoodie. I think this will work okay for the trip next week.
