Some facts about Dean the kitten:

  • Sabertooth tigers aren't extinct, they just snuck away to hide from Dean.
  • Dean supports the third Commandment by not letting you take the Lord's name in vain-- by the time you get past "Oh my G--" or "Sweet Je--" he's already attacked.
  • Scientists doing research into monomolecular cutters are just trying to reproduce Dean's teeth.
  • If Dean didn't have fur on his paws, he would have knuckle tattoos reading MAUL and REND.

So far at Kiz's house:

We've made some cider in the new cider press, by means of the new peeler/corer/slicer and the food processor. I've cut both my hands, as well as a few Dean-inflicted wounds, so I'm bandaged up pretty well. Also I made apple butter in the crock pot.

The remaining apple bits from the press were put in the new food dehydrator (did I mention how awesome it is to hang with someone who's all "oh, that'd be fun" and buys it?) and made some apple crispy stuff that's kind of granola-y. Currently I have some apple butter drying to make fruit leather.

I so want one of these for myself. That may happen really soon now. I want to dry stuff instead of letting it go bad in the fridge (because I'm a demotivated cook).

I bought some yarns at the LYS here. Kiz got asked if we were "his people" (me and two other friends of his). I'm afraid we answered that we were. :D

Serr gave me some fiber and a new spindle and also some yarn-- enough Cascade 220 in a rust color to make myself a wool sweater. As long as I want it rust-colored. Which I do, I like the color fine.

That's about it. We bought shelves for Kiz's empty beer and wine bottles and he just put them together and they made lots of clear space in the dining room. It looks good.

And now, more WoW, I think?
