"...every city in Oklahoma, every business, every organization, every man, woman and child are hereby urged during this week to conduct a personal campaign to let the world know that 'we are proud of Oklahoma, and prouder to be Oklahomans.'"
We gave the world the shopping cart.
And Will Rogers.
Okay, we also had the parking meter.

Sam Walton was born here.
The National Weather Service is based here.
Good thing we've got a lot of meteorologists, because we've had the worst recorded tornado in history. We have more tornadoes per square mile than any other state.
And despite all the things we've done, and will go on to do, despite the way that lots of people are choosing to retire here because it doesn't get too cold and houses are cheap, there's just one final thing I want to share, which is something my dad says.
The nicest thing about coming home from a road trip is this. You can tell when you get into Oklahoma because you drive down the road and there comes up a pickup truck, and the guy driving it waves by lifting his hand a little from the steering wheel. It's not because he knows you, he probably doesn't. All he's saying is "If you're an Oklahoman then hello neighbor, and if you're not then welcome to our state."
