I was going to ravel and redo the neck of the dark-and-light-green sweater.
But then, it seemed silly to do that and not fix the lumpy bits of the decreases above the colorwork.
And the colorwork was lumpy.
The sleeves, also, are too short and I don't like the decreases.
And redoing from the armpits up doesn't help, as I looped my yarn around the needle backwards and thus EVERY SINGLE STITCH on the bottom half is crossed and the columns lean at a 20 degree angle.
So, to make a long story short, I made some balls of yarn.
Now I want to make this: http://www.magknits.com/warm05/patterns/shirt.htm
I've drawn out the pattern and made some notes about how big I need it to be:
47" at the bust.
39" at the waist.
48" at the hemline for my hips.
And the sleeves need to be 15" around.
I am now swatching so that I can see if I need to make adjustments (I'm hoping I'll knit just a wee bit bigger than gauge and can just use the largest size).
Gauge is 20 stitches wide = 4.75 inches, and 20 stitches high = 3.75 inches. Yay! it's just enough bigger gauge that I can make the next to largest size. Go me!
