I am felting a wool beret.
It started out about 4" too big for my head, but I figured, you know, wool shrinks.
It's on its third trip through the washer, and yes, it is indeed felting.
AND GETTING BIGGER.
I'll probably end up waiting for it to felt solid and then cut a pie-shaped wedge out, one of the six segments, and then stitching it back together.
But man, what alternate universe did I wind up in where wool GROWS when it's wet?

ETA: I cut out one of the six sections and sewed it up. There. That'll show it.
