After a week or so of headaches (on top of being tired and cranky) I gave it up and went to see the good Dr. Guthrie.
Dr. Guthrie is my awesome eye doc. If you live on the north side, I so totally recommend him.
He poked around and looked and told me stuff about how prescriptions work, and asked me how often I have to switch between near and far work. (Basically, my distance prescription is so strong it's yanking my eyes around to focus near, which is most of what I do.)
Because I don't switch very often, I get a two-sets-of-glasses prescription. If I did, I'd get bifocals.
So, I'm officially old. But at least now I won't have a headache from it.
For those who are interested in such things, my distance prescription is (left/right) -5.75/-6.0 and my near-only prescription is -4.25/-4.5 (which is still a good deal of correction, but not so much.)
