So, the water was supposed to be turned off today from 9AM-2PM for some street repairs.

It is now nearly 6PM and we have no water. I may well have to go to work unshowered. There's a pitcher of water in the fridge for drinking, and the cats have water, but things are not good otherwise.

At least the weatherliars are predicting cooler temperatures tonight. Highs in the 80's and lows in the upper 60's for the next week.

Perhaps I will go out shopping or something... I really want to wash my hair, dammit.

I would hereby like to announce that the currently available selections of "loungewear" and "sleepwear" and "lingerie" SUCK.

The following are acceptable items to wear to bed chez Corrvin:
General sleeping: Nothing
Wandering around after getting up: T-shirt and sweats/shorts
Cold house, don't wanna get dressed: Any/all of above plus fuzzy robe and socks
Want to get laid: Something shiny/silky that can be pushed aside or taken off quickly.

And now, I have a question for the manufacturers of loungewear for women of a certain size:

Do you really, seriously think we are DYING for seven kinds of fuzzy all-covering pants and stupid pink shirts with cartoon characters?

What is UP with that stupid pajama set covered in COW SPOTS? I swear! Cow spots! There is no one in their right mind that could think those were sexy, or cute, or slimming, or ANYTHING!

Anyways. Apparently the wisdom is that we just run around in our stupid pajamas a lot more than we get laid. Well, if we aren't getting laid, it's because there were only two fairly decent "yes, I'm here to get laid" items there-- and by "fairly decent" I'm forced to include the pink cami-and-shorts set, loath as I usually would be to include anything pink-- and I bought both of them.

That and my usual fuzzy boxers and tank tops should do me for a while.
