Announcement.

In TWO WEEKS from today, I will be on a plane heading to dda's house.

By the way, I'll be in the Chicago airport (ORD, sadly) for three hours or so, if anyone's going to be on that side of town. Likely I'll find a place to park it and knit madly; I'll have started a vest by then, I hope.

Poor kittay.

Smokay's had a hard day.

Raven took him to the vet for an abscess on his face that swelled up really big (he got inna fight). The idea was to get that taken care of and make an appointment to have him fixed.

Well, says the vet, we're gonna have to sedate him for this abscess anyways, so we might as well hit both ends while we're at it...

So we now have a very confused, very dopey Smokay in the kid's room with some food and water and a litter box. And no balls.

Poor little guy. He's had a rough time of it. The vet says he's healthy, though, and at the right weight for his build (which is good, since he was starveling when we got him).

He'll forget about it in a day or two, I'm sure, and in the meantime there will be extra kitty affection all around.
