Pumpkin bread
1 c shortening
3 eggs
1 #303 can pumpkin [[note: this is a 14.5-15 oz can]]
2 1/2 c sugar
3 1/2 c flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cloves
1 c chopped nuts
Mix shortening, eggs, pumpkin.
In separate bowl combine dry ingredients.
Add pumpkin mixture and blend well.
Add nuts and stir.
Pour into 2 greased & floured loaf pans
and bake at 325 for 1 hour.
Let cool before removing from pans.
