I'm working tonight 4:30-9, which basically trashes out my social life and my sleep schedule both at once. (for those of you on the day crew, that's the equivalent of 4:30-9AM on your day off.)
I don't have another day off until March. Yet I'm still not getting THAT much overtime.
I hate my job sometimes. I hate my life. I hate my tiny, tiny apartment and the piles of crap I've accumulated. Today I had this urge to throw out the couch. I'm going to be boxing up and giving away books later in the month, and throwing out a lot of craft stuff (i.e. sending it to good homes).
I have, count 'em, FORTY FIVE sweet glorious minutes of solitude today. I need sleep, I need it badly. I need to be alone in a room until I'm tired of being alone.
I normally don't bitch about private stuff here, but I'm gonna break the rule just this once since it's apparently just a difference in manners, and say this: This apartment is 900 square feet. In order to cut down on noise, doors must be shut. This is not necessary all the time, but if someone is going to vacuum, play music, sing, do dishes, or any such thing, it's nice to shut the door so the other person doesn't have to wake up to it if they're sleeping. However, since no one's been doing any of those things, I'll break it down a little more explicitly like this.
I am tired of listening to full-volume coughing, snoring, belching, snorting, sneezing, farting, burping, pooping, and peeing. Sneezes should be covered with the hand or arm. Same for coughing and burping. If you snore while sleeping on your side, you have a cold and should take something. As for the rest, SHUT THE FUCKING BATHROOM DOOR BEFORE I CHASE YOU DOWN WITH A BAG OF ASSORTED CORKS AND GLUE!!! I realize that you don't feel that great, but to be honest, after listening to you do your stuff, I don't feel that great either. The bathroom is less than ten feet from my desk, so shutting the door would cut down about 80% of the issue.
My place is too small. WAY too small.
