I have... brace yourself,
pentane... too many books.
I have books which I read, enjoyed, and now find myself thinking "do I REALLY want to pack these up, take them to Chicago, unpack them, and not read them again for 10 years?" And the answer to that is no, I don't.
Now the quandary: what the heck do I DO with them? I couldn't possibly face throwing them away, of course. That's totally out of the question. I don't necessarily want to sell them, either.
If I could sort out the stuff I didn't want onto a bookcase or two, would anyone who lives in the area care to come up and relieve me of some? I'd be glad to post a list of titles online so they didn't make the trip for nothing.
And, as long as I was posting a list, if there were *specific* books that someone else wanted, I'd be glad to mail them off, book rate (which is pretty cheap)-- though I can't afford to send whole boxes, I could certainly send one or two books to anyone who wanted them.
Anyone interested enough to make it worth my while to sort out and type up a list? Generally, I'm thinking I have a fair number of psychology books, some schmancy new-age stuff, a LOT of science fiction and fantasy, some cookbooks, a bit of science and history (though I'd be keeping most of those)...mostly paperback, a few hardback, some trade-sized.
