Dear day shift people, how about we make a pact:
a) I promise not to call you at 7:30AM when I get off work early and I'm thrilled to be awake and alert and it's not 117 degrees outside and I want breakfast and to talk to someone and OH MY GOSH it's a HOLIDAY I'M SO EXCITED!!!1111oneone
b) You promise not to pop online for a couple of minutes, tell me you'll be back later, and not realize that I'm going to spend the entire rest of the day until I have to go to sleep waiting forGodot you to show back up. (This also applies to the "see you in the morning" contingent.)
So, I didn't get to see anyone I know today in real life. Our next appointment for a daytime get-together, if you choose to accept it, will be January 17, 2011 (Martin Luther King Day). I hope to see at least one of you then!
