So I've noticed a big improvement in my energy level with taking vitamins.

Until this morning, when I had a huge craving for apple pastry, which my grocery store has, and I bought a box of 2 and ate them both before bed.

I woke up with a miserable amount of reflux. I suspect it might be the pastry, sadly, and I might have to give up the breads for a while and see if my health improves any more.

If the stuff I love eating is making me sick, this is really going to piss me off.

My reflux goes nuts when I tweak it with three of my allergy foods. I am not gluten intolerant, but I am allergic to barley---which is in most all-purpose flours. So, most boughten baked goods nail me. The other two? Corn or dairy. I can cheat a bit with one of the three from time to time....

Hope you feel better. Pastries always get me, that damned barley flour. Some organic flours have NO barley, so an organic pastry makes it better for me.

Good luck...and here's to happy discoveries!

I often feel the same. BTW, if you ARE regretting? You might pick up a bottle of DGL licorice tablets, they help an unhappy tummy heal and minimize the misery.

Also, slowly chewing a tablespoon's worth of dry old fashioned oats and swallowing it helps. Seems to scrub down the acid and act as an absorbent.

What sort of issues? My mother is allergic to corn, enough so that eliminating it entirely from her diet significantly reduced things like: dropping off to sleep after meals; reflux; arthritic pain in her hands.

The bad news? corn is in EVERYTHING. She uses very few processed foods, including condiments -- and she had to switch from liquid benadryl to a generic brand when benadryl started using corn syrup as part of its flavoring agents. /irony
