Currently juxtaposed on my friends-list are two posts, one arguing that someone discussing "what does this phrase mean in Biblical usage, rather than in everyday or scientific usage" is "the lamest theological argument ever" and another arguing that because someone is a self-professed Christian, not only should he be better than to make crass comments about women or grope a woman at a business party while drunk, but he shouldn't be getting drunk or urinating in public, EVER, because that's...like, um, a Christian value, not to do that, because we're more refined or something?
I hereby demand that the non-Christians of the world group together and decide once and for all whether we Christians are assholes or angels, and stick to their answer*. Every time I poke my head out the door, I don't know whether people are going to throw roses or road apples, and it's giving me a headache.
*ETA: For those who missed it in my tone and wording, I'm not really serious here.
