Me: Uhm...this is Bob's Weasel washing. We wash weasels, we don't rent movies.

Me: No, this is 555-6699.
Caller: So this isn't Big Name Video Store?
Me: No, it's not.
Caller: But I need to know when my movies are due back.
Me: Tuesday, then. [hanging up]

"I'm rather busy" is not simply a philosophical statement. What it actually, in this particular instance, means is this: "I'm not ignoring you, but I don't really want to waste time trying to figure out what you mean, so get to the point or shut up."
