I got tired of dragging the hem of my jeans everywhere (my size 20s are falling off my ample ass) so I went out to the car and fetched the Skinny Jeans, the ones I changed out of a few months ago because they simply weren't comfortable to wear while sitting down.

They fit. And not in a sausage-casing way. They actually fit now. Yay!

I have finally sat down and cast on the stupid i-cord for my lunch bag. I'm going to work 4' of the stupid thing and then loop it through the loops, sew it together, and felt the bag. I have 1" done, so... 47" to go. Yay.

I have an unfinished hat in my knitting bag, too, and when I get sick of i-cording, I'm going to knit round and round on it until I get tired of that, until 6am, or until it's done, whichever comes first.

When I'm done doing the hat, which is in a gorgeous silvery gray bamboo yarn, I'm going to use the rest of the yarn to finally knit the chainmail for my Nhinx-doll. And I should finish her face, too.

From here, "Why the HELL do people feel the need to spell things (hir, hirs, zie) differently to reflect their "special" group/need/belief."

The response I felt might be too volatile for someone else's LJ:

Using language to accurately reflect one's self-perception is not a "special need." It's a common human need.

I certainly grant anyone the right to make fun of the way it's done, but being offended by the fact that it happens is being offended that some people dare to consider themselves humans.

So, why the HELL do people feel the need to refer to someone else's claiming of a universal human right as "special needs" or "special beliefs"?
