Knitted hat with kitty ears = hat + kitty ears

knitted hat = known

kitty ears = sock toes that come to a point

sock toes = short rows

short rows = known

I've just realized that I could design a kitty ear hat that didn't require picking up the stitches, thus making the ears look a lot more PART of the hat, if I short-rowed in the design as I went along, and then stitched the bottom of the ears shut.

I will be fiddling with graph paper later today.

Whole wheat apple cinnamon muffins, trial #1
Ingredients:

1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour (I started with 1/4 but added more to get the right texture)
1/2 cup white sugar (ditto)
1/4 tsp cinnamon, approx (I only have a shaker, three shakes)
2 peeled diced apples, small (two nearly-half-pound apples)

Mix until apples are coated.

2 tbsp butter, melted
1 cup milk
1 large egg

Mix together thoroughly and then stir into dry ingredients until completely combined.

Pour into a baby-muffin pan. Realize that there is about 3-4 muffins' worth remaining batter.

Lick the bowl.

Baking time will probably be the same or longer, because of the wheat flour. (Edit: 25 minutes is what I used.)

I just turned over leadership of Valor to a friend of ours, the person who (with her brother) was the reason we started playing on Misha server.

I won't be playing WoW again. I had a level 59 paladin who was 3/4 of the way to 60, and it's not even worth it to hit 60.

And yes, I am sure I made the right decision, but I'm still sad that part of my life is ending.

So, I may not be up for a lot tonight.
